Winterface Documentation
Winterface makes data interactions with Snowflake more accessible. More people involved in the data acquisition process ensures better and more complete data outputs. Analysts, engineers, data scientists, and even external stakeholders can now speak the same language when referring to data, since it's all coming from the same place.
Some of the data interactivity that Winterface simplifies includes:
- Creating new tables - Allow users to create new (and modify existing) tables without SQL. A user-friendly UI allows users to define columns and their data types quickly and simply.
- Editing/inputing data - With a user experience similar to Excel or Google Sheets, teams can now quickly add data directly into Snowflake without having to learn how to write SQL inserts, updates, or deletes.
- Track/manage data changes - Snowflake offers amazing time travel capabilities and Winterface leverages those features to both provide a view of changes that occur and a one-click rollback ability.
- Upload offline files - A lot of data lives in spreadsheets on a network drive, Google Drive, or SharePoint. This data can be vital to analytics, but is a pain to get loaded through IT or data engineering processes. With Winterface, those spreadsheets can be fed into Snowflake through a simple file uploader and used to either create a brand new table or merge into an existing table.
- External data collection - Winterface has the ability (if enabled) to create shareable links to table interfaces that allow external parties (like vendors, customers, or other stakeholders) to input data directly into the Snowflake data platform.
